WFH in a Small Space

A common theme that has been coming up in my Small Space Consults is most people’s current reality of one or both parents working from home. Adding a desk whether it’s used full or part time in a small space is often a challenge. Add in a pandemic and a lack of school and childcare and we all know that is an almost impossible situation. Parents have been super heroes these past few months and it seems that this trend of working from home is going to continue as far as any of us can tell.

Small Home Tours: Lis and Husband in 690 Square Feet

I am pleased today to share the small home of a young couple Lis and her husband from Washingon, D.C. I was so touched that a couple hoping to stay in their small space when they eventually have a family wanted to do a home tour here. Lis mentioned that she wanted to share her home to connect with other like-minded small space dwellers. How lovely is that!

Sharing more details of my booth for IKEA for Små(ll) for last weekend’s Vancouver Home Show. The walls of the living room ended up being smaller than the 10’ x 10’ that I expected, so I was happy I had gone with my instincts and opted for less furniture than more.
