We recently got a landline phone for the kids. We are trying to keep our kids off smartphones for as long as possible (wish us luck as we head into highschool!) . And I say this without judgement for parents that choose to give their kids phones. As Amy Poehler says, “Good for her! Not for me”.

I find dusk the perfect time to go for an evening walk and peek in apartments. Often people haven’t drawn their curtains or blinds yet so you can see in. We’ve taken to walking to our local library an evening each week and Trevor often teases me as I’m looking into apartments and homes. Anyway I think that’s why I love these Home Tours so much. We get a glimpse into someone’s home without being a creep! They invited us!

Read MoreSo we went from 600 square feet to about 900 square feet that is split across two levels. The upstairs is about 350 square feet for our living, dining and kitchen so it feels very similar to our previous small space. The bedrooms are quite big and are on the lower level with a small bathroom that also has the stacked laundry. Having stairs for the past two months has been an adjustment.
