Let’s talk about what we are really storing in our small spaces. This comes up for me over and over again. It comes up in my home and it comes up when I am helping others with their small spaces. Usually we have enough storage in our spaces. I find everyone is asking how they can add more storage to their small space, but when asked what they are storing in their current cupboards or cabinets, things get a little fuzzy.

So much so that it appears I haven’t updated the blog from having no coffee table, (when Theo turned about 2 years old) to now having a couple of ottomans or poufs that act as our coffee table. I recommend losing a coffee table, when space is limited and kids are tiny, so often that I forgot to actually write it down here! So here I am putting it in writing.
Read MoreI ended up in a long line at my favourite coffee shop today. We were going to cheer on the runners in the marathon so it was an especially long line today. And I ended up chatting with the woman beside me. I don’t know how it came in up in our small talk but she was mentioning her son and his wife and how she was worried about them never being able to afford a house in the city.
I can never just nod and smile so of course I said, it’s ok, we don’t have a house in the city and we are fine. She said, yes but they want to have kids.
