WFH in a Small Space

A common theme that has been coming up in my Small Space Consults is most people’s current reality of one or both parents working from home. Adding a desk whether it’s used full or part time in a small space is often a challenge. Add in a pandemic and a lack of school and childcare and we all know that is an almost impossible situation. Parents have been super heroes these past few months and it seems that this trend of working from home is going to continue as far as any of us can tell.

A Guide to Decluttering

I am learning so much from these One on One Small Space Consultations. Thanks to everyone who has booked one! August bookings are full but I am booking into September now and with school hopefully going back in Vancouver I will have more availability.

During the consultations I’m trying to pay attention to themes as they come up and share them here. The first that has come to mind is that we are all at different stages of decluttering our small spaces.

Reading Lights for Bunk Beds

I’ve been thinking a lot about reading lights for the wall beds. For one because we have a reader who will strain his eyes in the night to keep reading his Garfield comics. But also because being at home these last few months makes me look at every piece of our home and wonder if we could improve upon it in any way. There truly isn’t much we can change about our small apartment so obsessing over small lighting seems appropriate.
